BECK by Harper Sloan Cover Reveal

Synopsis:

DEE
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.

I run.

But he just won’t let me go.

BECK
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see  HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.

She's it for me and she knows it.

She’s just too scared to admit it.

Author Spotlight Rissa Blakeley

1. If you were a character in your one of your books who would you be ?

I would say the female lead in book two, Quinn. She is so strong and could tackle anything that she faces no matter how awful the situation is. Which is so not me. I'd shut down in a split second.

2.  If you could date or marry one of your male leads who would it be??

For sure the male lead in book two... Gunther. He's a sexy blonde beast, who loves a great night of debauchery. Maybe this told you too much about myself...

3. Where would you like to do a book signing that you have not been to yet?

I haven't been to one yet, so any book signing would do. Although, I would prefer a signing event so my socially awkward weirdness would just blend in with the crowd.

4. What Author would you Fan girl over if you met them??

Without a doubt J.R. Ward. She amazes me with what she creates.

5. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?

 London.

6.  Out if all the reviews written for your books is there one that stood out from the rest one that you will always remember good or bad??

Well, it's not published yet so there aren't any reviews. I had someone start beta reading it early on and she cut my characters to bits. It felt like a dagger in my heart. Definitely something I will never forget.

7.  Would you like to see your books come to life ...tv movie, mini series or big screen?? If so is there a specific producer who you think would do your book justice??

Wouldn't that be a dream! I would love to see my books on the big screen. I would probably pass out because I am that lame.

8.  Lets turn the tables a bit we are always Interviewing authors so now here is your chance to ask bloggers and your readers if you could interview the blogs who promote you and your readers who love you what 3 questions would you ask them?

- What do you want to see less of in the Indie market?

- What types of plot lines pisses you off the most?

- Would you read outside of your usual genre if a book has great reviews?

9. What is your favorite candy??

Reeses Peanut Butter cups. I could mow down a bunch of those in one sitting. This is a dangerous time of year for my hips.

10. What's your all time favorite movie?

This is a tough one. There are several movies that I love. One that sticks out that I watch at least once a year and have for years: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's an oddball choice, but it has turned into a holiday tradition. Plus, my husband and I quote the movie year round. Sad but true fact.

Expected publication: October 25th 2014

Elaina Cooper's world was turned upside down on her wedding day. She was about to marry Henry Daniels, the man of her dreams or so she thought. Just as she was to walk down the aisle, screams pierced the air and with that, the apocalypse had begun.

Elaina felt something was wrong; Henry knew far too much about the undead roaming the street and she was determined to get to the bottom of it no matter what it took. Henry's haunted past catches up to him in more ways than one. He must face his demons and Elaina must learn to accept him and his past. Henry is determined to fight to the very end to make their sexy, mercurial relationship work no matter what staggers in their path.

Along with their thrown together band of survivors, they must travel south to face Henry's haunted past. There will be joys and loss but in the end, can love hold them together?

Rissa Blakeley is a quirky freelance writer and the author of Broken Dreams, the first book in the Shattered Lives series. She lives a socially awkward life just outside of Atlanta, Georgia with her amazing husband and daughter, two four-legged, furry children, and the many characters poking her brain, looking for more scenes about them in her books. When she isn't writing, she can be found procrastinating on Facebook

Adina Falling : Thread One By: Melissa Brodsky

This novella is intended for Mature audiences only. There are scenes not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

Thread One, Adina Falling, is the first novella in the Threads of Fate Series.

Best-selling erotica author, Adina LaCroix lives a fairly charmed, normal life. Born a Vampire , Adina is forever 21. She is successful, beautiful and wealthy, the envy of women and the object of desire for men. Her days are occupied with more human pursuits such as writing and avoiding unwanted phone calls from her publisher and her mother. With nightfall, however, her Vampire nature takes over and her hunt for blood and sex consume her.

Wanting to keep her conscience clean, she refuses to kill her prey, usually men with dark secrets. Instead, she uses the gift of mind control to implant permanent fears into her victim’s minds, ones so horrific that they will live in fear of death if they continue their evil ways. It was her way of doing the world a favor.

After her divorce from Michael Diamante, one of the most power-hungry and evil vampires in the world, Adina has remained single. Threats of permanent death from Michael have made her hesitant to find a mate. However, rumors have begun circulating around plans the Elders, the governing body of Vampires, have in store for her.

Plagued by a recurring nightmare, Adina begins a quest for answers. The only problem, instead of finding what she has been looking for; Adina is faced with more questions. Questions in the form of two men, Caleb Locke and Xander Stark.

One man holds promises of undying love and passion while the other holds the key to unlocking her secrets, and maybe even her heart.
Genres: Paranormal Erotic Romance

Melissa used to tell everyone she was going to be a writer when she grew up. Well, she is suddenly a grown up and it looks like she was telling the truth.
Living in a modern-day "Yours, Mine and Ours" household, Melissa is the biological mother of 3 children and the full-time stepmother to her husbands 2 children. On some days, she may even be considered "evil"...and not just as the stepmother!
With a strange vampire fascination since she was young, it was only natural that Melissa began writing stories about the Paranormal.
When she isn't writing, Melissa hangs out on Facebook way too much. And on occasion, she's been known to throw out some semi-nonsensical tweets over at @rockdrool.

But when she lets her insecurities, the ones that she keeps hidden from everyone, get the best of her, she falters in her pursuit of perfection. Bryan Mahoney may appear to have everything in order. He’s charming, witty and completely swoon-worthy. In short, Bryan has life all figured out, but appearances can be deceiving. When the landscape of Bryan’s family changes in an instant, he’s left to pick up the pieces. Not all bruises leave a mark. Now, weary and afraid, Melanie and Bryan must find a way to let love heal their broken and jaded hearts. Meet the Author Melissa Collins 2I’ve always been an avid reader. Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer. Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer. I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it. When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity. My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there. I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

This is the 3rd book I have read by Melissa, I have loved all her work and Let Love Heal joins the others in books i will read over!! In this book we get Melanie and Bryan's story and I was so excited to get in to their story. I think I related to Melanie a lot being a bigger lady.  I loved Bryan and how he was with Melanie and knowing what Melanie does in the previous book i was on pins and needles all through this book pleading with him to find it in his heart to forgive and at one point in the book right when i was going to give up pleading with each page turn things turn around.  I loved reading through their troubles and being able to related to their insecurities and how they manage to work through the tough events that challenged them.  I was so upset with Melanie many times in the story but she is young and learns that the worst thing she thought about her self wasn't true man on man that is when I was praying with every page i read that she would share her secret .  I wont give anything away but Love does Heal in time.  I love Melissa's books and would recommend them to anyone!!! Cant wait to see what she has for us in the future!

Author Spotlight Morgan Jane Mitchel

Questions for Morgan Jane Mitchell

  1. If you were a character in your one of your books who would
    you be ?

If I were a character in my scary dystopian world of Sanguis City, I’d love to be Noir. Although her life is pretty complicated, I have plans for her.

  1. If you could date or marry one of your male leads who would it be??

Sander is my favorite even if he is a bit scary at times; I know his true nature because I made him. Besides, he is a hot vampire god.

  1. Where would you like to do a book signing that you have not been to yet?

I will be signing in New York and West Virginia next year, so there are lots of other places I want to sign. If I have to pick one, it would be in London.
  1. What Author would you Fan girl over if you met them??

I have met some pretty fabulous authors, Neil Gaimen, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, some of my favorites who all had me fan girling. Anne Rice was just at my local bookstore, and I missed it! I will be signing books with amazing bestselling authors; I will be secretly fan girling them all.

  1. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?

Ancient Egyptian art has always fascinated me. Seeing the pyramids, the Valley of the Kings, sailing down the river Nile is my dream vacation.

  1. Out if all the reviews written for your books is there one that stood out from the rest one that you will always remember good or bad??

One of my favorite reviews http://lions-and-lambs.blogspot.com/2013/10/review-for-sanguis-city-by-morgan-jane.html

  1. Would you like to see your books come to life ...tv movie, mini series or big screen?? If so is there a specific producer who you think would do your book justice??

Personally, I would want to produce my own or at least be on the team. I have no producer in mind. I have seen too many books taken in the wrong direction. I would never give away creative control. For example, since I have a vampire series, True Blood is so disappointing for many fans of the books. A show, movie, comic book, whatever needs to at least follow the rules of the world it is based on. I would never want my books translated into bad fan fiction for the big screen.

  1. Lets turn the tables a bit we are always Interviewing authors so now here is your chance to ask bloggers and your readers if you could interview the blogs who promote you and your readers who love you what 3 questions would you ask them?

Do you like to get feedback from authors about your reviews?
What makes you one click, a cover, a friend’s recommendation, a blog post?
What would you like to read that no one seems to write about?

  1. What is your favorite candy??

Chocolate.

  1. What's your all time favorite movie?

This is hard. One of them is The Color Purple. I love the book. Did you know it’s part of a series? The movie was a great adaptation, plus I have a thing for musicals.

The End was not a Zombie apocalypse but a Vampire one.

Ever wonder what happens after the world ends?
Lilanoir Rue did, a mere by product of the destruction, she never knew what happened before hand either. No longer just a human with fangs, she is banished from the only place she called home, the Human Reservation. She wipes her tears and never looks back.
In a world gone dead, life has never been so good, for some. While others live in chaos, the chosen call Sanguis City home. The rich and powerful found a way to survive The End and enjoy every minute of it, for eternity. On the brink of a gruesome death from starvation, disease or a hungry zombie, humans flock there to sell their blood for peace and security.
The city of blood, made for and by vampires, welcomes Noir; her kind are in high demand. New vampires, the ones who bought immortality, need a loyal workforce. Neither Human nor Vampire, Bleeders take care of the city in the daylight. Draining humans by day and dating Vampires at night leaves Noir little time to think about her past, or much else, until it finds her.
Noir never dreamed her fangs would be the ticket to the good life, but three years in the city has earned her a promising future, career and, just maybe, a love life. But when she falls for her charmingly sexy Professor, an Authentic Vampire, she also falls into a web of nightmares. Does she really know anything about the real Vampires or about the city she now calls home? Unable to escape painful memories, she uncovers more than her own secrets. Quickly her dystopian paradise starts crashing down around her, and some secrets just won't stay dead, and others are bound to kill her before finals week. Ending up in bed with a monster, in more ways than one, might not be as bad as she had imagined.

Logan Kalford was Wren Summers’ dream come true.
All I’d ever wanted was to fall in love and be loved in return.
Logan stole my heart when I least expected it. He was sexy, adventurous, and the way he played guitar left me weak in the knees. He made me happy. He made me think I’d found the one. And he made me believe in happy endings.
I knew he was my forever. I thought he knew it too.
I was wrong.
He destroyed everything I thought we had and shattered my dreams of us. He left me heartbroken. He made me doubt myself.
And he didn’t even seem to care…
Now I must let go. But how can I when he still consumes me?
How do you walk away from what you know was real?

The following Saturday, Distort is playing their first weekend gig at The Edge. Cassidy and I are working together as the bar starts filling up close to capacity. I serve the reserved table their drinks as Holly constantly glares at me. Nothing, not even her, can ruin my good mood. Logan has slept over almost every night this past week. And what a week it has been!
As I walk past the stage, I can’t help but glance up at him. I love how he randomly winks at me or points to me as he plays his guitar. Being picked out of a room full of people makes a girl feel special. I smile shyly and carry on with my job.
I’m serving a group of regulars when I hear laughter and cheers all around me. I turn to see Logan standing there, singing directly to me. I'm mortified! I don't like attention in the slightest, and certainly not in a room with almost three hundred people. I put one hand over my face as Logan takes the other, falling to his knees for drastic measure. I endure it as long as possible before I tug on his hand, trying to make him stand up and stop with this nonsense. My face turns a new shade of red as he finally stops singing long enough to give me a lengthy kiss for all to see, and then continues singing as he walks over and jumps back up on stage. I know he did it just to get a rise out of me. Mission accomplished.
I continue getting sexy glances from Logan throughout the night, but he’s lucky I even look his way after that stunt. I also get a few friendly slaps on the back from some of the regulars with comments about how good we look together.
When their final set is over, I go into the side room off stage, for no other reason than to watch Logan take his shirt off. Giving me a few seconds to lust after him without his knowledge. I notice Holly is taking in an eyeful as well. I roll my eyes at her. Don’t even think about it.
As if sensing I'm near, he turns and comes over to embrace me. Giving me a lingering hug, and a hungry kiss, he asks, “Can I come over tonight?”
“Logan, you can come over any time you want. But after that shit you pulled tonight...well, I’m not so sure anymore,” I taunt.
“Oh, come on. You liked it.”
“I did not! That was extremely embarrassing. I had people coming up to me all night on account of you.”
“Well, I sure enjoyed it. I like people knowing you’re mine.”
“But I’m not yours,” I say directly.
“I hate to break it to you, but you are now,” he says with a glimmer of mischief in his eyes.

MJ Fields

I am a very new self published writer. I will tell you I have always had a very vivid imagination. Starting at age 3 (as it states in my Baby Book) Sigma was my very first love (imaginary boyfriend). He lived about fifteen miles from my childhood home, (a farm). I took him chicken noodle soup every night on one of our families snowmobiles, (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring). Apparently he was very ill and "Thank God" I was able to take care of him.

Next was my very first self publishing gig. At eight my cousins and I (and yes I was the president) wrote a newsletter and sold it to our family members.

Years later I decided to put it back into print to entertain my cousin as she was on an aircraft carrier on 9/11 (Kick ass cousin BTW) and very far away from home during a very scary time for our country, (protecting our butts).

Fast forward to 2012. I read 50 shades and thought, I can do that, (meaning writing). I have two complete series The Love Series, and Wrapped. I have two new series Burning Souls and Men of Steel. Ten books in 13 months. CrAzY and wonderful.

I love love! ( I would love to reference Pinks new song here, however I am not sure if that would cause copyright issues.)I also tend to enjoy watching people grow and change with self realization and moments of clarity that just sneak up behind you and smack you in the head. I love people and have always been able to see both sides of a story. Each person that comes into our life leaves us with something it is what we choose to do with it that helps us grow.

I live in central New York in the middle of nowhere and am surrounded by family and friend most the time. I run a small business out of my home and spend time reading and doing the typical Mommy things. Our house is full of pets and friends and noise ninety percent of the time, and I would have it no other way.
I love people, music, laughter, hugs, and books.

Excerpt
“Let’s get dressed,” he said taking off his shirt, she stared at him and he laughed, “You like what you see?”
She blushed and looked down, “Yes,” slipped out of her mouth before she could stop it.
He walked up to her and kissed her hard on the lips and she moaned. He pulled away, “You like what you see Tessa so stop looking down, look at me,” he undid his pants and they slipped to the ground. “Don’t look away Tessa,” he smiled.
“Your mom Lucas,” she gasped.
“She’s not coming up here trust me, we could be in here until midnight and she wouldn’t come in,” he smiled and walked up to her in white boxer briefs. He kissed her again, this time longer and harder, he grabbed her head and started kissing down her neck. He slipped her sweater off her shoulders and she started to tense up, it turned him on. He kissed her harder and pulled her shirt up and over her head, she was growing excited, she felt her nipples start to harden and a knot tighten right below her belly button, as they kissed he skillfully undid her bra with one hand the other still pressing her head into his. He slipped one strap off her shoulder and kissed it. He did the same to the other strap and kissed that shoulder, her erect nipples now rubbed against his bare body and she let out a whimper. He kissed her harder and undid her button on her pants, then the zipper, they slipped off and fell on the floor, she could feel his erection pressing against her belly, she dug his back with her nails and he moaned. He picked her up and grabbed her legs and wrapped them around his waist. She moaned loudly, the knot in her belly was replaced by a hot pulsing between her legs.
He laid her on his bed and was on top of her, “Oh God Lucas stop, please.”
“You don’t like this?” he asked looking at her.
“Too much, I like it too much,” she said squirming.
He chuckled, “It’s not time yet, just wanted my new favorite girls against my skin. How did it feel to you?”
“Lucas,” she whined.
He laughed and sat up, “Exactly how I felt last night Tessa,” he stood up and dropped his briefs, he saw her eyes widen. “And that’s how I felt when you showed me your perfect tits,” he turned and walked into his closet as she oogled his muscular ass.
Holy shit he was perfect, not that she has anything to compare it to but the few she has seen in movies, and the articles she had curiously read… well, he was big and erect. Her body throbbed even more thinking about it. She felt heat building between her legs and her panties were damp.
He walked out in his swim trunks, “What are you waiting for baby? Let’s go swimming,” he smiled.
“I don’t want to move,” her eyes shooting daggers at him.
He laughed out loud as he grabbed her bag and pulled out her swim top and pulled it over her head. He pulled her up and went for her waistband on her underwear, and she pulled away, “I showed you mine now you have to show me yours,” he said grinning.
“Mine is very angry at you,” she scowled at him as she slapped his hand away. He laughed harder and turned around.
