Review for 'Pieces of Lies' by Angela Richardson

My review for 'Pieces of Lies' by Angela Richardson

The description of the book is what orginally grabbed my attention, but it didn't take long for the book to suck me in. I instantly liked Josh, but then you meet Clint, and you can't not like Clint, but you still kind of like Josh... and then you don't! But... then you kind of do, and you're still confused about Clint. All the while your wondering what the secrets are. The further in, the deeper it gets. Reading this was like constantly turning corners and not knowing what you were going to find. Just when you think you've started to figure out what lies are being hidden, your wrong (or at least I was). I'm very excited for 'Pieces of Truth' (book 2) to come out mid-May. Book 1 left you feeling like things could in 3, possibly 4 different directions. I just kept thinking, "people don't really live these lives, do they?" I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this story plays out

REVIEW OF LIGHT HIM UP A SHORT STORY BY CANDICE TERRY

Last night I had the opportunity to read this short story. Its the perfect length if you need a short read during your lunch break or sitting in the docs office.

so here is the synopsis :

Krischa thought she'd found the perfect guy the night the hot dark haired, blue eyed, stranger walked into the club only to find out she may have met the devil himself. After 10 years of being used and abused Krischa decides she can't let her life end this way and it might be time to show him just how dangerous an angry woman can be.

This was a easy quick read we learn real quick this hot sexy man is nothing more that a dirt bag that needs a bullet to the head. We get to see in the short time his short fuse and his shitty ways. Then you think story is going to turn around she is pregnant and he is happy but that is a short lived and you know whats about to happen. By this point im thinking to my self can i read further is she just gonna take this abuse?? Well man oh man she finally leaves him takes all his money donates most of it to charity and keeps enough to escape. The title is fitting she lights him up. I would recommend this short story its a good read. I thought this was a great start to a good book at the end I wanted to know more. I am going to check out her other books as well.

Review of Taking Chances by: Molly McAdams

TAKING CHANCES
After sitting in my Kindle for a couple Months, and working its way up on my TBR list I finally cracked this book. I should have read it sooner was my first thought. My Second thought was I wish I started it when I was not at work because I am sure I was not the nicest person when I was being interrupted. I knew right away that I should have followed the advise the other SMB bitches a lot sooner.

This is my Review, and Feeble attempt not to spoil the book for anyone.

Harper is a 18 year old girl finally out on her own after growing up sheltered under the thumb of a military father and being raised by a group of jar heads. Harper heads off to college, her first taste a freedom. She makes fast friends with her Room mate who introduces her to a new life style one she has only heard about from the guys in her fathers unit. Harper is quickly faced with obstacles having been thrown into a new world of college, partying and gorgeous guys. Harper is faced with the choice between Chase her Room mates gorgeous tattooed brother, and Brandon her muscled and tattooed boyfriend. The problem? They are everything she has been raised to stay away from, but some how is now drawn too. Page after page of emotions. I laughed, I Cried (A LOT), I got angry. I read in suspense holding my breath. Two Equally gorgeous men after Harper, Who will she choose? After a tragic turn of events, just when you think you can’t possibly feel anymore emotion there it is again!

Attention grabbing and Emotion evoking book from cover to cover.

If you haven’t read this it’s a must read. Young Adult coming of age Love triangle.

Molly McAdams is a Fab Author. I will be anxiously awaiting the release of Stealing Harper the follow up to Taking Chances and her book signing event in Seattle so I can finally hug this girl that made me cry at work! ( I don’t cry at work. PERIOD)
Also from Molly is 'From Ashes' another must read. I could go on all day about this book, in all honesty I am still hooked and will most likely be reading it again in the near future...I don't want to spoil the greatness of this book so go grab yourself a copy and a box of tissues. Review of Fate and Fury(The Grey Wolves #6) by Quinn Loftis

FATE AND FURY
Synopsis :

The last few days have been the darkest of Sally’s life. After experiencing the joy of finding her mate, she now suffers the pain of losing everything she holds dear. Both the Romanian and Serbian packs have been captured, ripping Sally’s soul mate away from her almost as soon as she had found him. Her best friend and the emotional glue that usually holds Sally together, Jacque Pierce, lies writhing in a restless coma, having been put down by Desdemona’s dark magic. Jennifer Adams, the unshakable one, has revealed to her friends and her mate that she is pregnant, but the Fates have marked her unborn baby for death. Though she rails against the darkness, deep inside Jen knows that Decebel’s baby must die as payment for her own life, and the knowledge is tearing her soul to pieces. Cypher, King of the Warlocks, has claimed Jacque’s mother as his mate and agreed to help Desdemona open a door that would release a horde of demons from beyond the Veil.

Though her world is crashing down around her, Sally holds out hope. The Great Luna is not sitting idly by. She has commanded the Fey council to call upon the packs—all of them. And though Cypher looks for a way to open the Veil for Desdemona, he struggles to protect Lilly and the wolves at the same time. Peri, the ever-courageous High Fae, and a contingent of the remaining females of the Romanian and Serbian packs, push on through the rough Carpathian Mountains. Though they are bound to the human realm, they continue to search for a way to cross over to the land of the Fey. Meanwhile, in reluctant obedience to the Great Luna, the Fey council sends representatives to the far corners of the globe, meeting with the pack Alphas. The Fey must convince the Alphas of every pack to lay aside their petty territorial squabbles and battles of dominance. If they refuse, both the humans and the supernatural races will fall at Mona’s feet.

Sally holds to a shred of hope. Though Vasile, Decebel, and their pack mates endure the torture of the In-Between, living their worst nightmares over and over, Sally holds. Though she knows that it is only a matter of time before their wolves take over, she holds. Sally knows that if the males die, then so too will their mates who have performed the Blood Rites, including her best friends Jen and Jacque. Yet she holds. If the males lose themselves to their wolves and turn feral, so too do their mates. Still she holds. Though Vasile, the strongest Alpha in their history to unite the wolves, is lost beyond the Veil, Sally holds. Though Decebel, the only other wolf besides Vasile strong enough to unite the packs, suffers beyond the Veil, Sally will hold. No one is left to unite their race, and defeat Desdemona. Yet Sally still holds. She holds out hope that the Great Luna will not abandon them, cannot abandon them. Throughout the centuries, the Great Luna has always provided a gypsy healer to the packs, especially in times of great need. Now Sally is that healer. Sally fears what role she has to play in the defeat of Desdemona, but she will play it. Though heaven and hell unite against her, she WILL play it. For too long the supernatural races have lived in separation, warring amongst themselves, allowing trivial power plays and selfish disputes to keep them from uniting. That separation has made them weak. Now, being summoned as a collective force to the same land, will they come? Will they come in numbers greater than have been seen in centuries? Will they destroy each other and save Mona the trouble, or will they finally unite and fight?

I have loved all 5 books so far and Fate and fury has continued that. The saga of the grey wolves continues with the struggles of the women trying to save their mates form the in-between. There is alot going on in this book all at the same time and flips back and forth between all those stories. My heart was sad during Fane and Jacque's story Fane was not the Fane I had grown to love in the last 5 books i can only hope in the next book things change for him and his wolf gives him back to jacque. Decebel and Jen continue their never ending battle for control in their relationship with a baby on the way they kept me Laughing through out the book. But what I missed the most in this book was the story line with Sally and her mate Costin their new found love ripped from them before they could enjoy it. I thought this would be more a front story but it seemed to take a back seat for alot of set up for the epic battle in the next book.I did like the new couple introduced the warlock king and Jacques mother they were a cute and witty couple young and old they fit together. The cliff hanger at the end had me crying and angry all at the same time if I had a paper back version of this I would have thrown it across the room its quite emotional I wont spoil it for anyone! I cant wait for her next book to come out I trust that all will work out for the Grey wolves and the great Luna wont leave us sad at the end. I would recommend this series to everyone who loves a good love story ! Start with book one it wont disappoint I stumbled upon the first book and have been hooked ever since. I cant wait for each new book to come out.

Review of Fight Me by Kristen Proby

Fight with me

To start with, if you haven't read the first book in the 'With Me in Seattle' series (Come Away with Me), then you should before reading this. It lets you get to know Jules a little more. Also you will understand more about her friends Natalie and Luke, which will help you understand their relationship.

Jules is extremely attracted to Nate, but the problem is that he's her boss and there is a no fraternizing policy that is strictly enforced. Both knowing that risk, they jump into a relationship anyway. It's a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. Sex scenes are hot, and there are plenty of them. Just like actual people, and not fictional characters, they make mistakes and have misunderstandings. The story was good and kept my attention, however I will say it was a bit of a song that's been left on repeat. Yes- Jules is gorgeous. Yes- Nate is sexy as hell. Yes- she loves his tattoos and piercing. Turn the page, yep, more sex. The sex scenes reminded me a bit of 50 Shades of Grey, but on a less intense level. Out of 5, I gave this 4 stars. I wasn't devastated when I was finished, but I will definitely read the others in the series and can see myself re-reading it.

Synopsis
There’s complicated. And there’s Rowen Sterling. After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing. Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s the bright and shiny to her dark and jaded. Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl—happily-right-now is a stretch—so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls. When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked behind the walls she’s kept up for years, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself.
