Red Hill By Jamie McGuire Book Review

When the world ends, can love survive?

For Scarlet, raising her two daughters alone makes fighting for tomorrow an everyday battle. Nathan has a wife, but can’t remember what it’s like to be in love; only his young daughter Zoe makes coming home worthwhile. Miranda’s biggest concern is whether her new VW Bug is big enough to carry her sister and their boyfriends on a weekend escape from college finals.

When reports of a widespread, deadly “outbreak” begin to surface, these ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances and suddenly their fates are intertwined. Recognizing they can’t outrun the danger, Scarlet, Nathan, and Miranda desperately seek shelter at the same secluded ranch, Red Hill. Emotions run high while old and new relationships are tested in the face of a terrifying enemy—an enemy who no longer remembers what it’s like to be human.

Set against the backdrop of a brilliantly realized apocalyptic world, love somehow finds a way to survive. But what happens when the one you’d die for becomes the one who could destroy you?

Red Hill grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go until its stunning conclusion. This is #1 New York Times bestselling author Jamie McGuire at her unforgettable best

*I received this book from Edelweiss as an ARC with a promise of a honest review .*

I have read a few of Jamie's books and loved them !!! Red Hill now joins the ranks of the other titles I have read by her.  I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book. I am a huge walking dead fan and loved every moment of the story . I didn't sleep for two days I had nightmares about the story where ever I left off before bed is what I would dream about it was unreal !!!! I loved all the different characters who don't now each other but all know someone in common and are on a mission to Red Hill.  You have a divorced mother Scarlet who is not with her children when the major events happen.  She is a t work when crazy events start happening and she flees the hospital to get to her girls and spends every waking moment to get to where she thinks they are ....and when she cant find them she never gives up hope of finding them and that becomes her mission to make sure her girls can make it safely to Red Hill.  Nathan and his daughter are seeking out a safe place and are pointed in Red Hills direction after some scary close calls he makes it there too. He meets Scarlet (insert love story ) now I guess I was so wrapped up in the other happenings of the story that I missed the relationship building between Scarlet  and Nathan.  Now Red Hill is a farm that is owned by Miranda's father who Scarlet worked with at the hospital and worked for when she was in school.  Miranda and her friends are headed to Red Hill to visit their father for the weekend when all hell breaks loose.  They run in to some scary situations before they finally make it to red Hill.   I wont give any details away I dont want to take away the edge of your seat feeling you will have turning each page.  This was a great read I havent read any zombie stories and this was a great first for me! I loved every min of the story and couldnt wait till the end!!!
